Unity Riding Academy

My Story; I fell in Love with horses at a young age. I watched Black Beauty and at that moment I wanted to learn any and everything I could about these amazing animals. I saw a sign for riding lessons on my bus route and it began! I soaked up every lesson like a sponge which was easy to do at age 11. From their I showed in 4-H, but that wasn't enough. I joined the local pony club and started competing in eventing. I was breaking horses at age 13. My first job on a farm was at age 15. I started exercising horses on the track and cleaning stalls. The owners saw I had a knack for retraining the thoroughbreds for jumping, dressage, and pleasure riding so I made commission doing this on the side. I soon moved on to another horse farm and taught the Butler Equestrian Jumping Team their at age 17. I broke and trained horses there. I then moved on to work at 9 more equine facilities. I taught riders of all ages and broke and trained problem horses that their owners couldn't handle. I trained with Nadeem Noon a 3 star eventer for two years! He taught me so much and I excelled in eventing further. I decided at age 21 I wanted to learn more about anatomy and how to get my horses in their up most best performance. I took a course in Equissage with the world renowned Mary Schreiber! With this under my belt I could work with horses in their entirety to assure they were preforming at their best and I addressed many soundness issues in others. I continued on learning, managing, and training at many farms as I stated above. I now have 24 years under my belt. You and your equine partner will be in the best hands. I also offer a more laid back environment so my students and horses can enjoy their time here! I really love training both rider and horse so they may have a healthy and successful relationship.
